  • Developed an interactive visual aid to be paired with verbal counseling to accommodate for different learning styles
  • Created visual aids for all on-floor pharmacists in Penn Presbyterian Hospital and observed initial testing of pharmacist counseling patients with the visual aid

  • Visited scanning bureau to observe users of OPEX’s Falcon document scanner
  • Identified ergonomic issues in the handling of large boxes of documents and use of the device for an extended period of time

  • Designed and executed a study of the ergonomics of an electric hand drill through videotaped user testing sessions
  • Created and distributed self-assessment survey to capture each participant’s perceived difficulty and discomfort while using the tool
  • Measured posture angles shown by previous studies to be relevant to physical strain during hand tool use and compared these measurements against self-assessment surveys to determine if any relationship existed
